Rockstar of grand hotellerie
Why get angry about the outdated service standards in the grand hotels of this world when you can build them yourself? In 2008 Carsten K. Rath chose freedom after having held numerous management positions in international grand hotels and established Kameha Grand Hotels & Resorts. The company was named after King Kamehameha, the legendary king of Hawaii. He was known for being able to unite opposites. For doing the things that other said were impossible. A kindred spirit.
There is a new surprise awaiting guests around every corner in the Kameha Hotels & Resorts. This opulent style with a special kick is Carsten K. Rath’s vision for grand hotellerie, paired with extraordinary service and the highest level of comfort.
Relevance in place of stars, cordiality in place of status, freedom in place of standards.
Before he became an independent entrepreneur Carsten K. Rath had opened and managed grand hotels on almost every continent. The Ritz-Carlton in Naples/Florida, the Adlon in Berlin and many more carry his signature. Even then he took the liberty to surprise his customers and competitors. And he was awarded many sought-after accolades in his sector – for example ‘Hotel Manager of the Year’, ‘Hospitality Professional of the Year’ and ‘Employer of the Year’. He was also awarded the coveted ‘Innovation Prize in German Tourism’ and the ‘International Hotel Developer Award’ from Niagara University. He also held the positions of CEO of Arabella Starwood Hotels & Resorts and Robinson Club GmbH.
He made his name in grand hotellerie with his spectacular productions, his uncompromising orientation towards quality and service and his unconventional management style and this reputation reaches as far as America, Asia and Africa.
This is why “Die Welt” has given him the unofficial title ‘Rock star of grand hotellerie’.
